@fray: Make sure to also pick a song with lyrics that support the POV. If you have lyrics in the 1.person singular the viewer will assume that the POV and protagonist are the same, whereas 2. (intimate) or 3. person (distant) normally signal the POV is seperate from the protagonist.
I really love vids where the POV is from one of the other characters rather than just 'neutral narrator' but it's so much harder to do! Looking forward to the vid.

Good point. Second person is "you", right? The song is in 1st and 2nd person, then, which I think works because I'm trying to show one character (the 'you') from another character's (the 'I') pov.

Yep, first is 'I', second is 'you' and third is 'he/she/it'.
For a vid with an external POV the best lyrics are those which are either just you are a mix of I/you. The idea is that you try to match the I bit of the lyrics with the POV narrator and the you with the other character. This does not have be religiously, though, but you should avoid the use of POV shots on 'you' and vice versa. Neutral shots are okay. It might also be helpful of some introductory shots where POV character is watching/observing/pining for the central character, to establish their relationship. You can take a look at my Rubicon vid I Follow You for examples, though I really strugglled with the POV on that one.

Yeah, I've definitely been trying to do those sorts of things. Thanks for the help! And I watched your Rubicon vid. Not familiar with the source, but I could definitely tell the POV nonetheless.
