I am in the midst of Vidding ALL THE AVENGERS I possibly can before May. Last night I finallyyyyyy found my Bruce Banner vidsong. Tonight I will clip until I can clip no more! (Ed Norton's Banner, FYI)

Ha! After having read "It doesn't matter if your first draft is bad, just get something on the timeline!" quite a few times here I got my arse in gear and basically finished the first draft in a span of three evenings O.o It turned out better than I had expected but....argh.
Does anyone else ever get the feeling like their video is just a bunch of images without structure or emotional impact on the viewer? I was actually working with some sort of narrative in mind but watching the first draft it just seems like a patched up video of random, detached images.

Ha! After having read "It doesn't matter if your first draft is bad, just get something on the timeline!" quite a few times here I got my arse in gear and basically finished the first draft in a span of three evenings O.o \o/ \o/ \o/ First drafts always feel like that for me, so don't feel disheartened. If you can watch it and see where you might have stepped wrong in terms of emotional/narrative development, then try playing around with it a bit first. If you're stuck as to how to proceed and make everything flow and make sense, this might be a good time to bring in a beta. |

I've just finished my source rewatch for Festivids, and I have a song and a theme and even opening credits. But this is the bit of the vid I am always paralysed over - actually starting. It always seems like a gigantic wall that I can't climb over and I have no idea how I'm going to make it work.
Of course then I throw a few clips in and before I know it, there's half a vid, LOL. But for now, I'm in the just-before-editing terror phase.
As for the other vids on my list, I've clipped the entirety of my 15-movie epic "Love In The 80's" vid (which is also in the pre-editing-terror phase) and I've done about 1 ep of the rewatch of my Angel S5 vid, which is my attempt to make peace with the end of the show and finally get some closure.

I have been bit hard and am accumulating source for my probable next project. (Which seems to want to open with four clips of 3+ seconds each. Haaaaaalp.) And I am surviving! the public! beta! process! (Loving it, actually.) |

I am still stuck in exam mode. *watches others vid jealously* The other day I found some time to put some clips down though. Was it for one of my half-finished vids? Of course not. Now I want to start a FNL vid. But it's okay though, because with the help of this forum I actually have a semi-clear idea about what to do with it for like the first time EVER. Also the song is perfect for the character and 80% of it will be like colour by numbers, and I'm not planning to do any effects or anything, it's going to be pretty straightforward.
