And I regret nothing.  I had a list of 15 offers initially, but I cut it down to 4 - choosing the ones I immediately had ideas for. I even already have some songs noted for all four, thinking I'll attempt to do the 3 remaining fandoms as giftvids.  This is such an inspiring project! |

Ooh, glad you made the deadline! I'm getting so excited! I even worked a few hours today (Sunday), partly because of a deadline tomorrow, but also in anticipation of being completely distracted by my assignment the day it comes in. \o/

I resisted looking at the festivids site (or DW or LJ) all day, but since I got home I keep checking to see if our assignments are in yet!

I am too! Though almost as soon as I got it I started worrying about the song I'd previously chosen for that fandom. Now I'm back to searching for a song. I have a few candidates, so I'm not stressing too much. And I'm so excited to vid [redacted] that I went ahead and bought Tune4Mac just so I could have extra-shiny source! My only disappointment is that one of the fandoms I was really excited to do, and hoped to vid as a treat if I wasn't assigned it, turns out to have not even been requested, it appears. I can still make the vid, but it's not quite as exciting. |

Festiviiids!!! I'm also ridiculously excited over my assignment! ;D This fandom was on my treats list at the first place, I still can't believe that this is my assignment! I have several ideas for song at the moment, so I have to narrow down them. legoline, I almost missed the deadline as well, as I signed up in the very last minute literally. But we did it in time, that's what counts. Happy Festividding everyone!

So, I have a "dumb" question. How does one go about getting feedback & betas for Festivids? My methods have generally been to post in beta mart or a DW/LJ comm requesting a beta for a specific fandom, which obviously won't work for Festivids. Is it OK to ask another Festividder (obviously not the recipient) to beta, especially if you don't already have a beta relationship with them? I don't really have a beta relationship with anyone at this point!

Fray - There are some people who do not participate in festivids and offer to beta, but I think it would be ok for you to ask another participant. The only "rule", I guess, would be that they're not allowed to tell and they cannot guess it in the "Guess the festividder" post.
