You can probably find someone to... "help" with that. Not on here, but just saying! Yes. I thought about that but as Charmax said, I want it to be extra shiny and since I was buying a few DVDs today anyway (for my Ultimate Vid Bunny--I think that one may be actually happening!) I caved in and bought a second copy of the DVD, as it wasn't very expensive anyway. But thanks for the, eh, suggestion First treat uploaded and submitted! \0/ And I have another one almost ready. Still needs a bit of tweaking. And then there's the one that's currently on hold. (I'm on a roll, folks!) I bought the DVD from amazon.co.uk because the DVDs were cheaper there and I only watch the films in English anyway, so I hope shipping won't take too long.

Wow, I'm feeling quite slovenly, having only finished my assignment vid. I do have something else planned but not sure if I'll manage it in time.

That's awesome legoline, good luck with finishing!
And no need to feel slovenly littleheaven, I think treats are a bit easier to do quickly than your assignment because you had total freedom in picking the fandom, etc. I'm still too chicken to sign up for real because I'm convinced I would end up with a bad case of vid block.

I'm still too chicken to sign up for real because I'm convinced I would end up with a bad case of vid block. I was afraid of that too but what made me sign up in the end was that if you realise you can't make it in time you can still drop out and it doesn't seem to be that much of a biggie, as long as you let the mods know early enough so that they can look for a pinch hitter.

Yeah I know, but I'd still feel bad about default. With treats I can just browse through the Dear Festividder letters and pick whatever I like. In other Festivids news I added the thirty seconds I cut back to my last treat. Turns out I needed them after all (clearly this vid was planned out very well).

I ended up storyboarding just about the entire vid in my head while in the shower I always do my best thinking in there - must be the warm water on my head! Dragonchic, I find Festivids a great cure for vid block because you have to just get on and do it. Just throwing stuff at the timeline always gets me out of a rut, but it normally takes the terror of a deadline to get me to do that.

I agree that festivids is a great cure for vid block. I'd been meaning to start vidding in earnest for a while before I signed up in 2010, but still hadn't finished anything - but I figured, if I had a deadline an something to motivate me, it might help. And I was right! Now I just need to start vidding *outside* festivids

I've finished my gift video finally! First I had problems with the aspect ratio, but I think it's OK now. I still have to upload them, but it's DONE!!!

Vid block is evil. this is my last full day to devote to my festivid. I still have 40 seconds of blank time line and I hate my second verse and I am sitting here forcing myself to at least listen to the song over and over and go through the movie looking ofr clips to fill in what I am blanking on.
I realize that I am the only thing standing between me and the vid but, I am a massive obstacle.

Jackie, why don't you go outside and take a breather and come back to it after an hour or so. You might just need to have a break... I am also waving pom-poms hoping you can get it done. You could also post it as a WIP if you can't finish in time.
