Festivid done and uploaded, FINALLY (that remaining 20 seconds of trouble took me forever to slap in to shape)! And finally returning to the internet after having to spend time in the offline world interacting with people face to face (I know, weird). legoline -- *hugs* do not worry. Your recipient wouldn't have included the source you matched on in their list if they didn't want it! Hoping for one thing on the list does not mean not getting super excited about the others. I am quite certain your recipient will be doing a dance of JOY on festivids morning.  |

I'm a bit nervous because I get the feeling my recipient was really hoping that someone would vid a specific fandom Sure, people have their favourites. I know I have one show in my request list that would bring the squee a little more than the others, but I signed up knowing that the likelihood of that is limited. You're only obliged to make a 1-minute vid for one of the fandoms they've picked - no compulsion to use any of their prompts or anything - so your recipients expectations should be set to that level. If you vid the source that makes you happy then that will come through in your vid and I'm sure your recipient will love it. I'm in a similar situation in which my recipient had a fairly specific request for how they would like the vid to be themed, and I've totally not done that at all, but I've made the vid of my heart for that show and I'm really happy with it, so hopefully they will feel that joy when they see it. |

I have some Favorite! Fandoms! OMG!, so I selected the others pretty carefully with this specific problem in mind. There are many fandoms I'd love a vid in, but I wanted ones I would love the same way I love those and that would be ripe for similar types of vids. Everybody knows it's going to be like this when they sign up. Don't worry! |

Thank you for your wonderful comments, guys. I feel a whole lot better about the issue now. I'm currently in the process of rendering the signed version and then I'll upload everything and submit it. Yay! Last night I started vidding another treat which, unlike the more action-packed treat I'm also working on, just sort of fell into place instantly. I've basically already got my first draft that just needs to be tweaked a little. It's a source I've been meaning to vid anyway, so this was a perfect excuse. It's basically a "I love this source, let me show you why!" vid but I really like it. I'm so glad I found a song to use |

Yay for everyone who's finished! ;D And to those who aren't there is still plenty of time. I cut an additional thirty seconds out of the audio for my third treat. Totally counting that as progress for the day since it means I'm that much closer to being done.  |

I sent mine in yesterday and what a relief that was! I can't say I found the whole experience as pleasurable as I'd hoped it would be but I'm happy with how it's all turned out. Can't wait to see what everyone else has done and if you haven't finished yet, I know you can. Go vidders.

Oh go you! I'm wondering about something similar... like buying a new DVD. If I do decided to make a treat (and I'm not saying I will or anything) then it'll need to be pretty and shiny.
