legoline, I hope your source issues work out!
I *finally* finished my festivids assignment today, a little less than 24 hours under the deadline! Part of me wishes I'd finished earlier - there are some things I would have liked to experiment with if I had more time, but on the other hand, a very large part of me is just glad it's finished! And there are always other vids I can use to learn new things ;D

amathela: W0000000000000000t \0/ Go you! ;D I just submitted the second treat. Which means that now I can fully tend to that final treat that's been giving me so much trouble. *cracks knuckles* Okay, here we go.

I worked on my assignment right up until three hours before it was due! But it's all uploaded and submitted and yay! \o/ Time for treats now.

Gah! Trying to do my first real export from Premiere less than two hours before the deadline was as bad idea I think I've got it under control now, but I'm nervous.

Did you send it in late?

No, I got it in on time, but Viddler went really weird on me. It seemed like it was only playing the audio (the video was a black screen), but it had a correct thumbnail image, so I know it must have "seen" the video somehow. I didn't have enough time for my signed version before the deadline, and youtube cut my audio on that I feel bad--I didn't mean to be so close to time

Have you contacted the mods about it?

Hm. This is a good idea (is doing). I wrote about it in the "extra information" section at the bottom but a message is probably better. Hoping it all works out... gack

With treating, does anyone else get that slight anxiety that someone else is going to make the exact same vid as you? It's silly because more vids are good, obviously, but I don't like to think I'm stepping on toes. There are some shows that have a million and one ways to vid them and others not so much... like the one I am currently working on.

I usually only get nervous if the person I'm making a treat for requests something specific, like a character/pairing or especially a song. Otherwise, the styles of the vidders will probably be different enough that the vids won't be too similar.

With limited source I still think vids can look rather similar even allowing for the different styles of vidders. And I haven't watched that many vids lately but the few I have I wouldn't say that the styles were vastly different from each other, not in my corner of fandom anyway.
