Oh god I do.
I'm tired of my coach purse and want something nicer.

Oooh, new purse planning is most exciting stage! Just to be clear, are we talking "purse" as in "handbag"? Or "coin and card wallet"? Sometimes Americanisms/Englishisms confuse me.
Have you had a look around and know what you might want?

Oh God, yes!
I am in desperate need of a pretty pair of winter boots and I can't find one. Boo.

This season I got a great pair from Clarks here and they're super comfy as well as looking pretty spiffy. What kind of boots are you after?

Ooooh, shiny! (Literally and figuratively ) I'm trying to find a pair of "higher" boots--the kind that almost goes up to your knee? But it needs to have buckles or the like because my legs never fit into the ones with zippers

I have giant calves so knee-high boots are never an option for me. I envy women with skinny calves!

I have giant calves so knee-high boots are never an option for me. I envy women with skinny calves! I hear you on that one I hate going to a store looking at shiny boots thinking, "Nope, not in this life". Maybe I should get ankle boots, too. As long as they're suede ;D

I'm totally for non weatherproof materials in the office (would love a pair of snakeskin pumps), but I've always wondered, how does suede work in rainy weather? London is notoriously unreliable with sudden showers and I really can't imagine wearing suede out in the open ever. The good thing about ankle boots is that at least they're usually cheaper than knee-highs because there's less materials used, so yay? ;D

I've been prowling ebay for months waiting for a barely-used pair to pop up in my size, since they're sold out everywhere. Finally, success! ;D

They're so very shiny! Are they Louboutin? (I can't believe I'm asking this, two years ago I was the "Shoes? Pumps? I only wear Chucks and Doc's!" - kind of gal. Well, I still wear those but I do prefer a greater variety of foot wear these days )

Indeed they are. These are my investment shoes so I'd better get my money's worth out of them. ;D
I know what you mean. A couple of years ago I was not interested in fashion at all either. And then I started following fashion blogs and forums and now I'm really interested in it. I love the way art and commerce and practical considerations all have to intersect when it comes to fashion, and how, at the artistic/aesthetic level, it's so much about shapes and proportions and textures and there's so much to learn there. And since I really don't have the physique for designer clothes, I satisfy myself with shoes and handbags. ;D

Well, being so incredibly shiny and pretty I doubt you'll have trouble getting your money's worth out of them. So. Shiny. ;D Ha, YES! Snap to all of that Shoes and handbags and accessoiries will be the end of me. My favourite place on earth is probably "Oi!" in Notting Hill, everytime I'm there - which sadly isn't all that often - I shop myself silly. I'd grown pretty used to just wear whatever but for the past two years or so I've gotten really into fashion and fashion blogs and I've tried to make an effort. I'm fairly low on self-esteem so I used to hide behind plain colours but then I watched "500 Days of Summer" and realised that, screw that, I'd always loved that vintage look that Summer was sporting and life was too short to not do it. And yay fashion and cute things. (Which is easier said and done and more often than not I fall back into my old habits but I am trying really hard! And I love pretty things. So much ) It's like Nigel puts it in The Devil Wears Prada: "It's more than art because you live your life in it."
