100GB! *dies* My HD only ever has about 50GB free space. On a good day. I'll just have to stick with my non super awesome non-HD source. I know that feel. I was drowning in a sea of external HDDs so I killed my bank balance and had a PC built purposely for vidding. It's been a nightmare ironing out all the technical kinks but I think I'm getting there. Slowly. WOOHOO! Let us know how it goes editing such a large file. Did Vegas cope with it okay? I've never tried editing with HD source. Must give it a go. Currently I don't have a means of extracting it from Blu-Ray but I guess there's always downloads. I haven't plucked up the courage to test the file in Vegas, VirtualDubMod has no problem with it though. I stumbled on MakeMKV a while back and it's such a wonderful little program for extracting Blu-Ray content. I still rely on downloads for tv shows, somehow it seems like less hassle.

Wah! Sadly it looks like I still have the same problem and I'm so close to just packing it all in. I have a vid ready to go except that between a lot (not all) event transitions there's an unwanted flash of something else. I'd started to think I was seeing things but I've just run it past a beta and they see it too.
The problem can be seen in both the preview and final render. All events in the timeline are flush, there's no overlapping and each is cropped correctly. It's happening with all file extensions (avi, mpg etc.) and it doesn't seem to matter if I crop the clip in VirtualDubMod or Vegas itself, the problem persists.
I'm currently using Sony Vegas 9 (64bit) on a PC running Windows 7. I gave Adobe Premiere a shot, so I could rule out an issue with Vegas, and I have the same problem in that program too.
I usually start with an MKV, run it through Super to create a lossless Huffy avi (I tried Lagarith in a fit of desperation, needless to say it didn't make a difference) and then crop what I need using VirtualDubMod. I also tried importing media directly into Vegas, unfortunately it didn't make a difference either.
I've ploughed hours of the last few weeks into a vid and it's soul destroying that I'm stuck at the final hurdle. Looking over my last couple of vids all I can see is the problem staring me right in the face and I'm so ashamed I put them out there like that.
I'd be eternally grateful for any help, I just want to get back to having vidding fun.

Meivocis, sorry to hear that you're still having the issues. If it is a b-frame issue, then I see why it would happen with AVI, although I haven't heard of it happening with MPEG before.
Personally I'm inclined to think this is just one of those bugs that you are going to have to manually remove (by going through each one with the razor tool and cutting off a couple of frames), but I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has a better solution.

Thanks for the feedback, it's a weird one alright. I was so sure it was B Frame issue but now, who knows. I'm on the brink of wiping my system and starting from scratch to see if I can work out where the bug is hiding but before I do that I'm going to roll back to the 32bit version and hope that solves it.
Sadly I've already been down the razor tool path and it helped with some events but not all. If a reboot doesn't solve the issue I may just upload a password protected version on Vimeo and post it in the Open Beta section to get a second opinion.
Thanks again!
