Okay, so I have an almost finished first draft of what I had planned to be a slashy Appaloosa Virgil / Everett vid and which sort of turned into an Everett / 8 gauge / horse/ hat love fest vid o.O I don't even...  This is probably not ever going to be suitable for human consumption, but it's been an entertaining ride (no pun intended  ) and a useful exercise in practicing some of the things I've seen talked about here - namely that cutting to the beat thing we talked about in the Musicality thread. Anyhoo, if anyone is familiar enough with the source to understand my ramblings above, and would like to cast an eye over this, I'd much appreciate it. If you don't know the source but have even a passing appreciation for the *ahem* talents of Viggo Mortensen on a horse you may also find something here for you. Incidentally I'd also love to hear from people who know horses, because I was trying to work something in this vid and would love to talk meta about musicality and the horse. Or something ;D Jaz |

I've finished the first draft of my Festivids gift video today!  I have a request for a beta viewing for this video from someone who is not participating in Festivids. I've sent it to my friend already, who usually makes this for me, but I'M not sure if she will have time for it in the next few days (deadlinr is the 7th of January!) Anyone is volunteering? ;D ETA: never mind, problem is solved. ;D |

I've finished my first draft for a vid of Melancholia, and I'm looking for willing victims participants for betaing. I'd prefer it if you'd seen the movie, just for context, but if you haven't that's also definitely fine, as long as you don't mind spoilers. Contrary to everything I've said ever, this vid is my precious baby, and so I'm not looking for an open beta this time around. Any help would be appreciated. |

Would anyone be willing to beta a Rurouni Kenshin vid? It's for the OVA, not the tv show, and contains some gore and death. Any level of familiarity with the source is okay.

I'm looking for a beta for a vid about Nick and Nora Charles (of The Thin Man fame). It would be helpful if you've seen at least one of the movies, but probably you can get by just on the knowledge that they're a former detective and an heiress, married to each other and very much in love, and together they fight crime while always being a bit sloshed in that oh-so-elegant 1930s way.
It's finished, and has some semblance of a structure, but it's feeling a bit blah and aimless at the moment. (Admittedly, this is...not as big a deal as it could be, given the combination of song and source. Nevertheless, it could be improved.) Any takers to help punch it into something more purposeful?
