What's got your attention at the moment? What bands or artists are you all over right now? Could be vidding related or not! Maybe we can even get some ideas off each other.

My earworm right now is the song I'm gonna vid next, so Imma play it close to my chest. I wonder if that's going to be a very popular response around here on a board of vidders... I'm sort of envisioning all of us clutching our precious vidsongs, not willing to share them lest someone makes an awesome vid with the song before we get around to it. ;D

I like the video you linked, it's a cute concept. Poor boys, wonder how many takes they had to run through.

Yeah, I thought that might be a problem. I still want people to share music though, if they have no intention of vidding it. I enjoy plenty of music that I can't really see making it into a vid. Who knows, one person's just-for-listening music could be another person's next project. I just love talking about music. XD

Oh cool, I love it when songs manage to start in one music genre and transition to another really well. I was totally expecting a ballad. I can't imagine using this for a vid though, yeah. Once it gets starting it's a bit too smooth to really attach a structure to it. Then again, like you were saying in another thread, a lot of newer vidders are making stuff with less of a narrative. I know none of my finished vids have had one, but all my ambitious ideas do. -_-

I'm curious as to what you mean by that? I don't tend to think of any songs as unviddable in terms of not being able to support a structured narrative (a specific structure, maybe, but I feel like most songs can support some kind of story).

I was thinking about a thread like "songs up for grabs," so I'm glad you started this. I have a big playlist of songs I think are viddable, but that don't really match any of my fandoms. A couple groups I've been into lately are Other Lives, The Duke Spirit (I would love to see a vid to The Step and the Walk, and should go looking), and Erin McCarley.

I'm sure there have to be some vids to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, too, right?

She truly is, I caught just that song on Gold a few weeks ago, with no idea who she was and I was like "Holy crap, I need to find this woman and profess my love for her comic genius" and I've since been addicted to her shows (yeah I need a life) ;D

ME TOO. oh god, there are so many awesome songs that i want to vid but probably never will.
