Hi everyone, I'm par avion on DW/LJ (and formerly on MBTV/TWOP). I never participated at ML and I kept getting deleted at Reverie for not being active enough (but I must have posted a bit?)
I haven't made many vids (or any at all recently) but spend my time collecting vid recs for veni_vidi_vids and modding the DW vidding comm. (And, you know, being a full-time grad student).
Lately the only con I attend is VividCon but I did get to go to the first VidUKon. It's nice to be here and to see all of you! My schedule is kind of erratic, which makes keeping up with LJ conversations challenging. Maybe this will make it easier for me to participate.

Hi, all! I'm voodoochild on here and AO3, d_generate_girl on DW, bluerosefairy on LJ, and yes, that is far too many names for one person. Just call me Drea. I'm 26, and while officially I'm an ESL teacher, I'm currently temping for an insurance company to save up for certifications/grad school.
I have actually never, ever made a vid before (though like others on here, I've been vidding in my head for years). Blame Em for being enabling and far too supportive for her own good - she talked me into giving it a shot. I'm slowly getting started, futzing around with WMM and VidDub in hopes of learning enough to finally put together the vid that's hijacked my brain.
It's amazing seeing so many vidders that I've admired for years all in one place (Brad! Nicky! ChinaShop! Mlyn! Rhoboat! Killa! Eunice!), and while I may need to go lie down for a bit, I'm excited about such a great community. Hope to chat with all of you!

Heya Nicky & everyone, Thought I'd register & make my first post @ 20:11 on the 20/11/2011. (well it is in Australia) What can I say, Ive got a thing for numbers! Ive been vidding & on LJ since around 2005 & while my vid activities have been in hibernation for a while now (last vid December 2010), I still try to watch the occassional vid & have been picking over a timeline I've been working on since about May. Hi! I'm mswyrr pretty much everywhere I'm active online. I've been ficwriting since 2003, and attempting to vid for a couple months. I'm 26, I live in California, and I recently graduated college as a non-traditional student. The main passions in my life right now are applying to graduate school in History and media fandom! I mostly hang out on DW/ LJ and Tumblr. You can find me over on TWOP sometimes, too. Recently Tumblr has been occupying most of my time, though. I completed my first vid in the last few days and the shocked joy of seeing ZOMG IMAGES AND MUSIC together, doing roughly the things I wanted them to do, still hasn't worn off, TBH. Drea kindly directed me over here after reading some of my posts about vidding on Tumblr, and I've been really pleased to find such a great community. Look forward to getting to know all of you better! |

Hi! I'm Eli (or elipie and jumpercut on LJ/twitter). I recently graduated college with a BA in TV Production, and am currently saving up to move to California. I started vidding last year when I signed up for Festivids, and have since fallen head over heels. My most popular vids have been in The Social Network fandom, but I've recently found myself hopping around and experimenting in mostly small fandoms. I went to Vividcon this year, had a blast, and hope to go back next year. This looks like it's going to be a great discussion forum for the vidding community. Looking forward to getting to know you all better! |
