Hi, I'm Mithborien. All my vids can be found of LJ under the same name.
I tend to lurk *a lot* but hopefully that will change here since I do like talking about vidding.
I tend to vid a lot of Supernatural but I have ideas for many other sources that will hopefully see the light of day at some point.
In RL I work as a graphic/web designer which is a lot of fun but somewhat exhausting and eats up a lot of vidding energy.

Hi! I'm sweetestdrain on LJ, and all my vids are linked from there. I recently uploaded most of my stuff to youtube, too. I've been vidding since late 2004, and I hope this place really takes off, because I miss awesome vidding conversations and meta. My time for vidding is pretty limited these days, unfortunately -- I'm a grad student currently working on my MFA while teaching writing classes. (As you can tell, I am a dork in all parts of my life.) Once I finish and move on to other things, though, you can bet those things will include ALL THE VIDS.

Hi,
I'm T.M. and I've been a Starsky & Hutch vidder since 2007. I've made over 70 vids and I currently link them on a passworded website. I store them on Box.net. I live on Livejournal, and it's where I keep my notes.
Because I'm so S and H specific, I talk to myself a lot about vidding. I'm also a Mac vidder, still using a very old program, which isolates me even more.
In my real life, I'm a dance specialist/choreographer.

Hi, everybody. I'm here's luck (heresluck on DW/LJ); you can find my vids at heresluck.net/videos/index.html, archiveofourown.org/users/heresluck, or my tag "vids: announcements" on DW/LJ. I've been vidding since 2002 (...omg) but have only made about 25 vids -- I vid reeeeally slowly these days because offline life has gotten kind of time-consuming. I started out in Buffy fandom (with eunice and Nos, actually); since then I've vidded Firefly, Due South, Gilmore Girls, Heroes, Slings & Arrows, Treme, Wonderfalls, and a few movies. Currently I'm working on Friday Night Lights vids, but I have ideas for Buffy and The Wire and Farscape and all kinds of stuff, and I'm still hoping to find a song for Fringe. I miss talking about vids and vidding -- haven't done much of that in the past few years -- so I'm happy to see Nicky starting this forum!

Hi, I'm kat-byrd in vidding and sc_fossil on LJ. I vid in Pros and Starsky & Hutch. I made my first vid in 2006. It takes me a good while to make a vid so I haven't done that many. I use Corel VideoStudio ProX4, which I love. Thanks for the forum.

Hi, I'm V and am pen named as agirlnamedtruth just about everywhere else (LJ, DW, YouTube). I've been vidding since I was about 15 (admittedly pretty badly). I'm now 19 so I guess that's four years, bizarrely it feels longer. I stared out vidding Doctor Who and Torchwood, before moving onto The Mighty Boosh and then when that fizzled out I managed to expand into quite a few fandoms. On my current account I have vids from Doctor Who (Which I got back into after years), Smallville, Alice, True blood, Harry Potter and most recently Supernatural. In total I currently have 33 vids uploaded and have lost over fifty to hard-drive crashes and youtube deletion over the years. I use WMM (and am rather proud of that) because I neither have the money or the patience for Sony Vegas. WMM clips my sources for me and doesn't have a million and one effects to complicate things. I actually have a lot of respect for everyone who can use Sony Vegas Outside of vidding, I'm doing a BTEC in Animal Management and plan to go to uni. I write fic, including a big bang at the moment. I'm also addicted to half a dozen iPhone Apps. In fandom, I ship Dean/Cas, Sam/Ruby (SPN), Ron/Hermione, Draco/Ginny, Snape/Lily (HP) and a few others when the mood take me. My favorite characters are Castiel, Dean, Crowley, Ruby (SPN), Bellatrix, Hermione, Ginny, Luna, Draco (HP), Amy, Eleven (DW) Tess, Lex (SV), Eric, Jessica, Pam (TB) and Hatter (Alice). That's all I can really think of at the moment

Hi, I'm astartexx at LJ and astarte at DW. 32 years old and I'm vidding for almost a decade. I started out with AtS/BtVS and nowadays I vid pretty much anything that pings my vidder interest. I love to revisit AtS/BtVS, TXF and SPN. I'm on pc, vidding with CS3.
Xandra shares my brain, so we tend to do things as part of our couple therapy assignments. Heh.

I'm dragonchic, also known as bananainpyjamas on LJ. My vids are all here. I've been making vids since 2005 and always enjoy chatting about vidding even though my time for actually doing it nowadays is sadly quite limited. I started out as a superhero vidder but am not really tied to any particular fandoms nowadays.
In RL I used to be a consultant but am now working on a PhD because I apparently think money is overrated.

Hi peoples! I'm Rokikurama (though people usually just shorten it to Roki) from rokikurama.livejournal.com/. I've been an AMV watcher for years and am just getting into actually making things myself. I'm in the finishing stages of my first vid (yea!) and am really glad to have a new place starting up for us to chat about them. My vid right now is for Jeeves and Wooster, but I have grand plans for Harry Potter and am getting into Once Upon a Time. I've also signed up for Festivids--huzzah! I'm in dragonchic's camp of working on a PhD and discovering that apparently I think both money and my life outside of work are unnecessary distractions. I live in California where it really is sunny all the time. My greatest desire in life is for a tuxedo cat, which I'm either going to name Jeeves or Macavity (currently thwarted by oppressive graduate housing office and a feline allergic roommate)

Hi, I'm thuvia. People also call me Mely. I've been watching vids since 2000 or 2001, maybe? and I've attended Vividcon on and off since 2004. I started vidding in 2008. A lot of people I know talk about re-inventing vidding on their own or feeling a sense of recognition as soon as they discovered it, but I never would have started without fandom. I've made six vids, which ... totally doesn't look like I vid as slowly as I feel like I do. Huh. Right now I am most excited to vid Supernatural, Fringe, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Buffy, and all the auction vids I owe people, not necessarily in that order. My vids are at my DW/LJ, AO3, and my web site. I use Premiere and AfterEffects and recently upgraded to CS5. I keep looking longingly at new computers because my current one can't handle more than a season or so of Blu-Ray source. Sadly, finances mean a new computer and most of the other objects of my technolust will have to wait a long time. I try to console myself with my newest toy, an ereader. I'm in my thirties, I live in New York, and I work as a technical writer in far too touristy a neighborhood. Also, as you may have noticed, I am wordy.

Hi! I'm kronette on LJ and DW and I've been vidding since 1996 or so, when I first saw Carol S's Space: Above and Beyond vids. I've put out vids under the name Central Consortium and Dementia, Ink over the years. I used to show them at cons, but I haven't been to a fan-run con in years. I've started putting the older vids online: kronette.livejournal.com/tag/vid in fandoms such as Highlander (17 vids for this fandom alone), Stargate 'verse, Supernatural, Doctor Who, Buffy/Angel, Star Trek 'verse (not the 2009 movie), A-Team, Sentinel, Babylon 5, Man from UNCLE, Pretender, QAF(US), *deep breath*... I have 81 vids online and I'm still converting from VHS. Pesky copyguard protection. I've only made one vid using computer software, the Red Dwarf one, with Sony Vegas 11. Future vids will probably be in Supernatural, Doctor Who, Torchwood, and maybe some of the ideas I've had for years, but not the means to do them (vidding on vcrs is tough. no FX). I love Merlin and BBC Sherlock, but I don't have any ideas for them, yet. Other fav shows are Suits, Psych, Secret Circle and NCIS, though I don't know about vidding for them. I'm still learning what all Sony Vegas can do, so it's going to be fun!

Been vidding since 1988, used to use BETA 1000s but now use old PC crawling along with Virtual Dub Mod and Adobe Premiere 6.5. OMG, I still have your Alien Nation "Play the Game Tonight" vid on VHS, I love it that much. And now I shall attack your website and get the vids electronically ;D
