Hey! My name is Crys.I'm very new to the community and find it's very hard to establish friends more than I had thought for it's reputation of support. I just recently dove into editing and I have a new found love for it! I'm looking forward to meeting fellow vidders and share my videos to get feed back. I need some good ole fashion criticism so I can grow as an editer. Please let me know how i'm doing! Welcome, Crys! I also love TVD.  If you're looking for critique, check out the Beta thread, and post links to the videos you'd most like feedback on. I see your introductory post has popped up in a couple of threads - I'm going to delete the duplicates to keep everything where it's supposed to be for ease of navigation. I hope you enjoy the forum. We've been a bit quiet of late, but ere are usually a few people hanging around. |

Hi Crys! I'm not familiar with your fandoms, though I will take a look at your vids when I can. I'm not sure how much I can offer, though, being newish to vidding myself and not familiar with the source for your vids. In addition to Vidpub, you might try livejournal or dreamwidth for more discussion and feedback than you get on youtube. It seems that those platforms are quieter than they used to be, but I still get a lot more substantive response to my vids from posts there than I did on youtube (I haven't really tried tumblr). Though it's great to see you here as well! Like littleheaven says, vidpub has been quiet of late, but there's some great people here. |

Hello, I'm Trutgras.
I've done some vidding on and off for a few years, but it was limited by the fact that I only had an old laptop and if I wanted to get some serious work done I had to borrow my husbands gaming computer. Since Christmas I have had a proper computer, and it's so fast I finished two vids in three weeks. So I look forward to doing a lot more vidding this year, and also to interacting with other vidders a bit more, which I haven't done at all up to now. (Or maybe I should say up to recently, because I did work up the nerve to answer comments at festivids this year.)
The first show I was ever a fan of was Thunderbirds back when I was 8, then later sci-fi, especially Star Trek, and detectives. These days I mostly like costume dramas, political series and comedy. I'm Dutch myself, but there are some Belgian and German things I love a lot as well. Right now, I'm working on a vid for Sophie Scholl: Die letzten Tage.

Welcome, trutgras! I wish the speed of my computer would make me finish vids faster. Or finish them at all, really. ;D It's entirely my own fault though.

Well... the actual putting clips on timeline part of vidding was three weeks. I did know when I would be getting the computer, so I had a week beforehand to rewatch source and take notes and organize the notes, vidding with a pencil. Plus there was a deadline; that always works wonders to speed things up. (I think I should get the Sophie Scholl vid done by February 23. There, I've set myself a myself a deadline. Let's hope that works.)

Hello! I just noticed the forum via vid announcement on LJ. I keep saying I'm going to get back into vidding, and I see so many vidders I adore are members here, sooo hopefully it'll help to inspire me.
My vids - past, present, good, bad and ugly - are all at my LJ.
I started out vidding Stargate Atlantis (with WMM), then moved to Supernatural (and discovered Vegas) and now I vid whatever the heck takes my fancy (Primeval, Doctor Who, Chaos, Chuck, Missing, Sherlock, The LXD...).
Hope to hang out, see and comment on some vids, and maybe I'll even find me some inspiration. I'd love to be back up to speed in time to take part in Festivids again. I chickened out last year. Boo!
