I'm so glad there is a place like this around... for me to lurk at! I love this stuff so much it's usually hard for me to articulate.

Hi! I'm amathela (or Zhailei) pretty much everywhere, and I'm definitely a vidding newbie - I've made exactly one vid, for last year's festivids, and am currently working on my second one for this year's exchange. I have a couple of other vid ideas I'm super excited about, though, so hopefully it won't take me another year to make my third vid!
I'm 28, currently live in Melbourne, Australia, and am a teacher (which doesn't actually give me much free time, but I make do with what I can). And I'm definitely another one who's perpetually late to the party with fandoms - after a few years of fannish devotion to sci-fi shows (especially Farscape and BSG), I've just started my journey into Star Trek (really!) with The Next Generation. So, I'm only ... 25 years behind everyone else ever? But I'm really enjoying it so far, so I'm okay with being behind the times!

Welcome, amathela! It's never too late to start being a Trekkie, I think.

Hi amathela! Don't worry--I, for one, watched Babylon 5 waaaaay after it had actually aired. Like, two years ago. Same goes for Farscape ;D )

Thanks for all the warm welcomes!
legoline, I still haven't watched past the first couple of episodes of Babylon 5 - but I've got summer holidays all through January, so that's next!

I sort of introduced myself in the other thread, but I suppose I can add here too. I'm Sarah and I'm from Richmond, Virginia. I've been vidding for just shy of 5 years. I posted my first video on youtube back in Feb. 2007. I've made just over 100 videos, but most of them are horrible and I'd hate for anyone to see them. I started out in WMM and moved up to SV Platinum. About a year ago, I upgraded again to SV Pro 10. I probably use about 1% of the system's capabilities and I'm sure I do everything the hard way. But I don't tend to do well with tutorials. I can follow the instructions fine, but can't repeat them on my own. So everything I learn is by trial and error. Only in the last year have I really stepped out of my comfort zone to try and expand my videos. Some have worked out, and some have been complete failures. My fandom is almost entirely Star Trek Voyager (it's the only show I really know well enough to vid with confidence), however, recently I've started working on projects for both Lost (I watched the entire series this past summer and fell in love) and Once Upon A Time (my favorite show in a LONG time!) And, as evidenced by this post, once I start talking, it's hard for me to shut up.

Hello FitzPro ! Welcome! Voyager, eh? I used to love the early seasons. "THe Chute" is probably my fave episode ( I love the angst, okay? ;D )

Hi, I'm Azertynin. I'm from France. (I don't speak English fluently, please forgive my mistakes. I will do my best to write in correct English). I've been vidding since 2005. I use Magix Video Deluxe and I'm currently vidding on White Collar. I'm very glad to have found this forum. That's a great place to talk about vidding and share fanvids.

(And don't worry about your English: I'm sure it will be more than sufficient.)

Hello FitzPro ! Welcome! Voyager, eh? I used to love the early seasons. "THe Chute" is probably my fave episode ( I love the angst, okay? ;D ) "The Chute" is one of my all time favorite episodes!!! Yeah, I'm one of those vidders who's kinda stuck in a time loop. I know the series ended ages ago, but up until very recently, I couldn't fall in love enough with anything else to try and vid it. Plus, I think after a while, there becomes a certain comfort zone within your fandom. I've vidded Voyager so much that I pretty much know what clip is in which episode in which season. It's not very often I have to search for something I'm looking for. But now that I've fallen madly in love with OUAT, I just *have* to vid it!!

Welcome here Azertynin! A fellow Magix user! I'm not the only one here anymore! Although I use a different version, but still... Don't worry about your English, I'm sure it will be fine. BTW I'M also not a native English speaker.
