Meeeee \0/ I don't think my year would feel quite complete without VVC, yet at the same time it's kind of hard to believe that this year will be my 5th VVC already. I oddly feel like a newbies, yet completely at home, whenever I go.

I have been jealous of everyone that gets to go to Vividcon since it started, hee. One of these days I will there, when the kids are old enough to look after themselves and have like, money.

Hi Buffyann! *glomps* I'll just have to settle for coming to visit you at your house and eating all your food.  Lu - definitely! Lemme know if you are in a position that you might be able to take up the scholarship if it's offered; I'd be honoured to nominate you. Milly - 5th already!!!?! Time flies like crazy. Nos - it would be brilliant to be able to meet you in person sometime. When will the kids be old enough? ;D |

rokikurama was this your badge name at this year's con? I don't remember meeting you, unfortunately. (But if we did and I forgot, it's totally my bad - I was very drunk pretty much all weekend.) What official capacity were you in?  Nope--I was there doing interviews, so I was under my research LJ name (which I'd be happy to share with you but would rather not post since I'm trying to enforce some separation between that and my fan/personal LJ). I'm a graduate student who does a lot of work on new media and popular culture... thus fandom! I was interviewing people on how they make videos for a paper that's hopefully going to be published  I'm not sure if we ever actually met and chatted! I was also butling at Club Vivid, so I might have asked you if you wanted a drink of some type--thus enhancing drunkenness and forgetfulness  |

Me! I haven't missed one yet. I thought maybe I was just going to do a nice round even ten and have the past one be my last one, but I had too much fun to quit now!

it looks like the Vegas trip could potentially be delayed and end up dovetailing with VVC, which would be awesome. So I'm crossing my fingers for that. OOH. I did that this year -- we went to Vegas immediately after VVC, and it was AWESOME. It really helped cut down on the post-con depression ;D Highly recommended! |

Hehehe, nice stuff. Although I suspect that'd only happen if you win money. ;D If you lose, I expect it'd be like a double whammy of con crud.

thandie - i know how you feel! i've never been to a con either & i'd definitely love to go to a vidding con *dreams* but the usa is so far away (and the flight so expensive) i'll probably never make it. but i hope i'll have the time and money to make it to the uk vid con next time *crosses fingers for luck* i would love to meet some vidders, and especially some of those awesome people from my lj flist.

i live in switzerland .... right on the border to france/germany. so the vidukon would be pretty perfect for me. but somehow it still hasn't worked out. i'm definitely planning on going next time though |
