Watching them all should be doable if you split it up.
Copy and paste the master list into a text document. Each time you watch a vid, delete it from the list or mark it as seen.
On more joy day there were 150 vids averaging 3 minutes each. 10 vids in half an hour. Let's say that the average stays the same.
On reveal you will probably watch an hour of vids. That's 20 or so vids. You might watch more. The point is, you have 14 days. If you spend an hour a day, you can easily get through them all and if you watch a lot on day one the amount you need to spend each day is less.
Some simple math: 160 vids ~ 12 a day (36 minutes) 180 vids ~ 13 a day (38 mins) 200 vids ~ 14 a day (42 mins)
Then you have whatever time you want to spend leaving comments. Who's with me?

I'll try to watch as many as I can but I guess there's gonna be a few for fandoms I don't want to get spoiled for, so I'll probably save these up for later

That just about sounds do-able, though I doubt I'll get through the lot (single parent working 5 days a week = not much free time). I think I'll set a goal of at least half, and I'll be doing better than last year. ;D

I love your very math-based approach to this, absolutedestiny This is my first Festivids for either seeing or watching, so I'm super excited! I think I'm going to follow the pattern of spiraling outwards according to interest that other people have mentioned. Also, everyone saw their request for people to upload to blip.tv if you're using viddler for your unsigned vid, right? Blip was weird but do-able. It's interesting to see the other upload platforms people have!

Also, everyone saw their request for people to upload to blip.tv if you're using viddler for your unsigned vid, right? Unfortunately Blip threw a hissy fit and TOS'd a bunch of vids and accounts, so that plan had to be shelved. Fingers crossed Viddler works okay on the day. What a time for them to be doing maintenance.

I just uploaded and submitted my last treat! The one that gave me headaches and minor fits because the source wouldn't cooperate, no less! It continued to give me headaches when Virtual Dub Mod wouldn't process it the first time around and Viddler, likewise, decided to be wonky and refused to upload it the first time, but now it's all there and--more or less--shiny ;D Not entirely happy with this one, I guess, I should have gone with a different song after all. Ah, what's done is done. I ended up making three treats, which is kind of cool. I also just realised that with the perfect timing only my boss possesses tomorrow marks the one Saturday in the year when I have to work on a weekend. Which means that I won't be able to catch the Golive until around noon, if they let me go early. Oh, crap WHY? WHY? WHY? Rabdomly--has anyone completely forgotten they'll be receiving a vid, too? I've been focusing so much on getting all treats finished that the "Someone's making a vid for you" thing completely slipped my mind. EXCITMENT! ;D

I am so nervous. Is anyone else? I see a lot of excitement, and I want to join in (!) but I'm so incredibly nervous.

Nervous? What for? *hugs* Well... I guess I can't really say why (anonymity and all), but I guess it's always scary (for me!) to throw yourself out there creatively and I stepped out of my comfort zone with my vid and I'm not 100% sure what I made is what my recipient wanted and/or will like. ...and-and-and? I'll probably feel better tomorrow when I'm watching the vids and not so concerned with, well, myself. But so, so nervous atm.

I'm nervous, too.
I really am not happy with the vid I turned in and I keep second guessing myself about it and I would really like to skip to the part where my recipient says that she or he likes it so I can worry about whether she or he really likes it or is only saying something nice to be polite.
*is paranoid and insecure*
But, I am also looking forward to seeing the vid for me! And to seeing how much people like Carol's vid - which is awesome, BTW.

I'm a little nervous, but mostly excited! I totally forgot I'd be receiving a vid as well, so now I will probably not be able to fall asleep just thinking about all these shiny new vids I'll get to gush over tomorrow, and how one of those will be for me!

I'm really nervous, too. I guess it's because I'm fairly new to vidding and threw myself out there making four vids. It's odd to have made a few vids and not having received any feedback on any of them and it's like, with every new vid I made I doubted myself a little more BUT YAY! FESTIVIDS! I had hoped they'd be up when I got up so I could watch mine before work, but alas. I'll have to wait

Wow, four? That's really impressive! I totally know what you mean. The anonymity of it I think helps ease my nerves, because if people have any particular feelings towards my vids (which I doubt since I'm not really established, but you know, paranoia), those feelings won't be there unless they a) recognize my style, or b) wait to watch it until after reveals. After rereading what I just typed, I think I have a serious vidding paranoia problem. /o\ But if it makes you feel any better, you will totally get feedback on your Festivids. There's a good chunk of people who watch and comment on every single vid, plus I'm sure there will be several other people who love your fandoms.

You get great feedback for Festivids, because you get (in my case) a much bigger viewing audience than normal. I got great comments last year from vidders I really admired who normally would never have seen my work because they are not familiar with me. The anonymity is a great leveler. On the flip side of the coin, it's a great way to discover new vidders
