Ah I see, so each of these is a scene from the episode. So you get all of that from the one .avs file, which I assume contains everything, then? Like a 10-hour video? And I'm assuming, since you only technically have 1 .avs file, not hundreds even though you break it into a hundred bits, Premiere's not going to go buggy over it. That's very clever and organised, and I definitely see how that'd be useful.

Yup. The .avs file has all 23 episodes in it. Everything else is just a subclip of that one file. Generally I'll do one .avs file per season of something, which prevents Premeire from freaking out. I suppose that might be a problem some day when I can't cram multiple sources into a single .avs file or I have more than 9 seasons of something. But it works for now  |

When I used to vid using avisynth scripts in Premiere, if Premiere started freaking out, I just broke my project file into tiny little pieces and rendered separate bits of the vid then joined them back up in a separate project. I remember Climbing up the Walls ended up in something like 6 or 7 pieces before I could export the whole vid. ;D Glad I don't have to do that now, but I'm definitely gonna try your method if I ever come back to Premiere again. It makes a lot of sense.

In order to break my vidding block, I'm working on clipping a vid I've been dying to do for a few months now. Really looking forward to it as I hope it takes my work to the next level-or at least looks like it does in my head. And hopefully that'll inspire me with my Festivid.
So far I clip by rewatching while I fast forward on maximum speed with the shuttle in Premiere so I don't miss any important shots. It takes awhile but usually is worth it even if I do hate it.

That sounds really good! What's the fandom? Or do you prefer to keep it a secret? I just started watching Covert Affairs and am madly in love with a ship two episodes in, and I think I already have a song as well. Want to make the vid now, but I have no HD space, so I really should finish the Game of Thrones one first. It's hard when your brain's been eaten by something else, though! |

"Covert Affairs" is one of these shows that I'm really torn about--the show as such doesn't really interest me but I hear it has a blind character? Which...is kind of awesome. Hmmm.
OMG I just found a PERFECT song for the Ponds. \0/ Now, if I had the time...

It's secret for now. I tend to like my vid fandoms to be secretive, just afraid I'll lose some of my motivation with it out there, IDK. I've been wanting to do a vid like this for years though, finally found a song a few months back. I LOVE when that happens.
I really need to check Covert Affairs out, I stopped midway through the Pilot for some reason.

With my GoT vid almost out of the way, I'm immediately onto the Covert Affairs vid that I really want to do. ;D I'm quite excited about it and it's coming together about as quickly as I can watch the source, which is nice.

Currently I am working extremely hard on not finishing my uber-emo Pepper/Tony/Rhodey Iron Man vid.
I am also working ALMOST as hard on not finalizing beta/stuff on my festivid.
Good thing finals are approaching -- if I don't have something else to procrastinate on, I'd never finish a vid.
