I am loving Once Upon a Time. I didn't quite trust it for the first cople of eps. I thought it would go in a direction that would be not so good but, then we had last weeks ep and I am losing my mind with the awesome of it.
Also Robert Carlyle scares the piss out of me. I don't think he is an actor, anymore. I think he is possessed by an evil fairy. You really wouldn't think that that would be a beleivable character but - OMG!

I tried Grimm but ended up less than enthused. If the show centered around the cop partner and the wolf guy, I think I might actually really enjoy it. But I find myself absolutely bored to tears by the lead. He's got, like, anti-charisma that sucks the life out of every scene he's in (which is almost all of them). Is a shame because I was excited about having two very different takes on fairytales on my show roster. Once Upon a Time these days sends me into an incoherent capslocking, hands flailing GLEE, covered with sparkly hearts. Easily still my hands down favorite of any of the new crop. I strongly agree with everything you just said. Granted, I only watched the first 20 minutes of Grimm, but I was bored to tears. A few people told me I should finish the episode before judging, but I don't know if I can. Just not my thing, I suppose. Yes, Once Upon A Time is so fantastic! I went into it with really high expectations because Jane Espenson and Adam Horowitz are two of my favorite writers, and like I said before, the character development is just incredible. Strangely, I find two of the main characters (Emma and Henry) the least interesting, but the plot and all the other characters are so fascinating to me that it doesn't really bother me as much as it would on any other show. Did someone mention New Girl a couple days ago? That's another one I love. Like pretty much everyone who watches it, I started watching for Zooey Deschanel, but the character interaction is what kept my attention. All I've ever wanted in life is a show where everybody is each other's bro, and New Girl is filling that hole in my heart.

RIGHT NOW I'm watching a cam rip of Breaking Dawn. As usual it's a mixture of wanting to continuously barf while simultaneously not able to tear my eyes away.

AND NOW they're having sparkly vampire sex. *keeps simultaneously barfing and watching* Oh, he just broke the bed. The only reason I wanted to see it was to see the demon baby eating its way out of Bella's stomach, but I heard you don't even get to see that. So disappointed!

I haven't gotten to the demon baby getting born yet, but I just got to the point where the wolves are all TALKING to each other and it's freaking me out. Oh, Twilight movies. So much freak-out in so little movie.
I read that the birthing scene gave people photosensitive epileptic seizures. *puts screen far, far away from face*

I refuse to watch them even for the lulz. I read the first book cause I have this thing about not hating on something I haven't tried yet. I was halfway through the second before I was like "Yeah, I just can't...I can't..."
My husband made me watch the first movie. Yes, my husband.

My husband made me watch the first movie. Yes, my husband. Um, WHY?? Okay, so I just got through the birthing scene. It was gross while at the same time incredibly disappointing. Also, CGI-emaciated uber-pregnant Bella is fully disgusting. Why am I still watching this, whyyyy.

I'm curious as to what they could possibly make another full movie about after this, honestly. I thought having a demon baby and living (lol) happily ever after would be the end of the story, is it not?

I thought there was like a whole war with the Voltari and the warewolves fighting over the baby? I'm ashamed I know that much.
I do admit the final scene where she turns is edited together quite beautifully.

Ah, okay. I only know very basic things about Twilight (besides the details of the birthing scene, because my aunt told me about it at Thanksgiving), so I was genuinely curious.

To be fair, the plot of the first three movies at least made sense even if they weren't brilliant. But the fourth... the fourth really is just batshit. I haven't read the books beyond about a hundred pages of the first one, but I had to look it up on Wikipedia because IT COMPELLS ME and I can't look away.

I never watched the first movie but watched part of New Moon, and I honestly don't remember any plot whatsoever except for Edward dramatically leaving Bella in the woods and her sitting in a rocking chair by the window for ages. Then again, I was drunk and never finished the movie, so that might be why I can't recall a plot. I do understand the need to read about what happens though. I totally do the same thing for terrible movies/TV shows I can never make myself finish.

If you're really curious and you haven't seen these yet, Cleolinda wrote fantastically hilarious recaps of the books and movies. The book recaps are linked here. That page actually has a good summary of all of her Twilight coverage. You get all of the lulz without the pain of actually reading the books.
