My vid should be right up your alley, then! ;D I've only watched 3 episodes and I already have half a timeline, haha. I'm just going on the assumption that the show is going to give me what I need to finish the vid in a satisfying manner, since I'm just vidding as I go and not even bothering to watch the show through first. Faith, I has it.

I'm so behind on shows - I want to rewatch GoT and catch up on Treme season 2. And there's at least four episodes of SPN to see. I abandoned Bones about a season and half ago in frustration so that's helped a little. Oh yeah and True Blood too.
I also have been recommended 'Once Upon A Time' so I have the first episode of that to watch - I just need the time.

I just finished watching 1x04 ;D And I also just ordered seasons 3-5 of FNL from amazon.com--oh Black Friday, y u insist on making me poor? I haven't even seen season 5 yet but I really want those DVDs and I've been looking forward to Black Friday deals so I can buy them for months ;D I may have to order more. The HIMYM seasons are really cheap, and White Collar, and season one of Covert Affairs as well ... *cough*

thedothatgirl - what made you abandon Bones in the end? Are they still not together? I watch episodes now and then but always thought they dragged it out waaay too long. Legoline - I saw that there were Black Friday deals but didn't know how good they were. Have to check those out now. Even though we vowed not to buy DVDs and books anymore.

@obsessive24 I abandoned Bones too, about half a season ago. I always loved Hodgins but he and Angela got unbearably together, I thought, and then Brennan suddenly got it into her head she needed to be pregnant and at that point I stopped watching. I did watch the most recent season premiere--or actually about a third of it--to find out Bones is actually pregnant now from Booth (whether he just donated sperm or anything else I do not know) and I stopped right there. I get that they had to include Emily Deschanel's pregnancy but...I would have much preferred it if Booth and Brennan had just stayed pals like in the early seasons. I loved their dynamic. But then it got more and more about the UST and I didn't much care for that.

Obsessive24 Not primarily the 'will they won't they' issue. But mainly the way they would develop Brennans' character and then it would regress a couple of episodes or half a season later. Inconsistent writing and making her look clueless rather than just out of touch with pop culture. I stopped caring.

I kind of feel the same way about House and Dexter - in terms of one step forward and two steps back character development, and a lack of plausible motivation - but the characters are compelling enough to keep me watching. Not sure I'd be able to say the same about Brennan so I suspect I'd be jumping the boat like the rest of you. ;D

I just started watching Homeland. Oh dear, I really have a thing for all these espionage/double-agent/intelligence shows and movies ;D
(I blame Scarecrow & Mrs King. That was my favourite show as a kid, Hmmm, maybe I should make a vid decidated to spy films/movies. Someday)

What is Homeland? An American show or British?

It's a new US show (I think eight episodes in) from Showtime. It's about a soldier named Nicholas Brody who returns home after eight years in Iraque where he was held captive and repeatedly tortured. The government officials want to make him their mascot and celebrate him as a war hero while a CIA agent Carrie suspects that he was actually turned in Iraque and has become a terrorist himself.
I'm three episodes in and surprised by how well the writers handle this stuff. Brody seems like everybody's darling and you feel really sorry for him and then he does little things that make you go O.o while Carrie's superior keeps pointing out it could all be circumstancial, and really, it could be. Particularly since Carrie has some mental issues as well. At this point, I have no idea what Brody is all about.
I like how this show makes you uncomfortable in a good way, like when the CIA bugs Brody's home andCarrie basically falls asleep observing their family life. So far the show's approach is very careful, which I like. Also, it has a fantastic cast - Claire Danes, which I adore, Mandy Patinkin, Damian Lewis and Monica Baccarin (spelling?) to name a few.

Ooh, a Showtime show sounds promising. I might give it a try once I catch up with Covert Affairs.

I have a really hard time getting into new shows. Currently, the only shows I will watch are Supernatural, House, True Blood, Game of Thrones and of course Doctor Who. (I'm a total Ten fangirl that fell in love with Eleven against my will, damn it, but he's so flaily and has angry tears guh.)
I gave Grimm a shot, but I failed to care about any of the characters three episodes in, so I stopped. I have not given Once Upon a Time a shot, even though Jane Espenson writes for it, and I'm a total geek. I really should.

You REALLY should! It's the only new show of the season that I have to watch as it airs or very soon after, or else I will throw a tantrum. It's SO good. I just love how much depth they give the evil characters.

nos I was the biggest SPN fan in the world but I gave up at the beginning of season five. The writers managed to make me stop caring about any of the characters. It's a sad story
