I think my "Yay, Picts!" The Eagle vid is turning into a statement about how both Romans and Picts effectively worship the gold eagle, thus not making them so different at all. Well, in theory because that narrative just popped out of nowhere and I'm not sure I can do it justice. But still. Deep thoughts and meta--I didn't expect this considering it was originally a "Yay, pretty stuff!" happy place vid.

You certainly know what to expect with a depressing song. So that's the danger of starting out with a happy song, it can always take a turn to the worse and meta place. But this is also a good thing, because it adds deeper meaning.
Xandra, I don't feel I overthink the first draft, it's more that I have a dozen ideas that could be incorporated into the vid and I need to sort out, what stays and what has to go. And this can include really hard decisions, because going off track can lead to an amazing places.
