What's a timeline? (I kid. Mostly.) Yeah, WMM is pretty basic, but for Vidding for Dummies, it can't be beat. I'll definitely be looking into Sony Vegas or Premiere for future projects.
obsessive24 - I ran a defrag on the computer, re-clipped the clips that were "corrupted", and saved Draft #1 as soon as it was done before it had a chance to do anything weird. So I have no idea what it was.

Absolutely - If I had started vidding on any other program than WMM (XP version not the live one) I'd have never stuck it out. I used it for five years and think it's great for starting out.

What really bugged me about WMM was that I couldn't do any precise cutting, and somehow the music was placed differently on the timeline from the exported file, which was really annying and in the end made me switch to SonyVegas (which is quite similiar in its layout, and quite easy to learn).
