That's always the way, isn't it? I find myself doing the same thing... whenever I'm working on critical writing (I'm a grad student in media studies) I wish I could be animating and making videos, and whenever I'm making videos, I wish I could be writing papers! It's really strange. That's highly cool that you majored in writing and production, though--I seemed to always be on the edge of the writing classes but never able to jump in.
Oooh; it sounds like a really interesting story! I love the double-life conceit since it lets you explore characters twice, almost.

In my second year of NaNo, chronically behind on the word count since week two, and no hope of recovering it until the middle of next week at least  I've already commended Nicky on her timing, opening this forum in the MIDDLE OF NOVEMBER!!! *ahem*  Seriously though, the forum is awesome, Nicky  Jaz |

That's what I thought when she first announced. Luckily I get over motivated the first few weeks, it's now I were i hit my slump.

I might not be doing NaNo but my son is! Which I discovered when he got here and plopped himself in a corner with his laptop, where he has been tap, tap, tapping away on his keyboard ever since. He has stopped long enough to visit with the rest of us some at least  |

Awww--you have to at least visit with the family during writing breaks. Otherwise how do you how what his wordcount is so you can guilt trip him over it?!

Done! Hurrah! 50,005 words on validation. Almost finished the story, couple hundred more words. NaNoFiMo and then NaNoEdMo \o/ I have a vid idea that needs storyboarding once the source arrives, and another that's half finished which I really need to get back to, and then there's a thousand posts here to catch up with. But first, I really, really need to clean the house and do all those chores that I've been putting off for weeks!  Jaz |
