Aarrgh. This show. That season. I gradually fell out of watching Ashes to Ashes somewhere in the 3rd or 4th season, but this reminded me of why I enjoyed it so much and wanted to keep watching.
In the spirit of giving more emotional feedback, it makes me think about all those moments in the show that resonated with me, when Alex was watching moments from her childhood, and thinking back to my own. Looking back on childhood like it's a story, because it's all so distant, and adults move around like inexplicable celestial bodies just doing their own thing. Some things don't make sense until you look back on them. Everything that happens does seem inevitable. It's part of who we are.

I haven't watched the show so I can't say much about that, but I did love the visuals of this video that corresponded so well to the slightly eerie music. I loved the black and white-ness and the pacing of the scenes made it feel like being stuck in a nightmare. Awesome  |

Oh, man -- I haven't seen Ashes to Ashes so I only vaguely know who this character is, but this is creepy/gorgeous! And I love how much the text is working to establish that minor character POV for us with the limited source. Nicely done.

gnat -- oh, man, I very recommend the last season. Definitely. But eeeeee, thank you! I become more absorbed in the Alex's family storyline every time I watch, and I can't understand why there isn't more attention paid to it in fandom (well, okay, I can understand, it's made of creepy), and I have to forcibly restrain myself from making EVERYTHING all about it. It's so awesome to know someone else is into it as well.

Never seen Ashes to Ashes but found this haunting and so very pretty. The use of text was creative and really did a lot to help establish the POV. I also liked the way you didn't just throw random sentences up there but repeated the beginning of the sentence. The repeated "I'm sorry" was also effective. Editing was clean and the black and white filter really contributed to the mood. Very cool vid, I can't wait to see more from you.  |
