My most recent vid is a collaboration with my friend purplefringe. It's about the themes and symbolism from the last two seasons of Doctor Who that we were most interested in, and has spoilers up to 6x13. stream here: vimeo.com/30631389 (password: stories) original vid announcement post with download link etc: such-heights.dreamwidth.org/360126.html(I'm not looking for concrit for this one as it's a collab.)

I am glad you aren't looking for concrit, cause I couldn't possibly. I have all the emotions! Ahh. Amazing. Flaily hands amazing.

Oh God. That was beautiful. So utterly beautiful. I couldn't pick a fave bit if I tried. It's all so beautiful. It's like you picked all my favourite scenes from season 5 and 6 and put them into one big vid where each perfect scene got even perfecter by the perfectness of the other perfect scenes.
And the music? Gaaaah. I normally don't like Sigur Ros that much but in this case it was PERFECT.

I forgot to comment on this when you originally posted it, didn't I? PURTY, just so very pretty. I think I am particularly fond of the regeneration sparklies sequence.

Thank you all! <33
And hee, yes, I like the regeneration sparklies sequence toooo. Our collaboration process was basically Phoebe going 'ooh and then there's this symbolic moment and mythological references and clever stuff' and me going 'BUT LOOK AT THEIR FACES AND ALSO HOW PRETTY THIS SHOT IS'. We have a system, it works well.

Okay. I have to let this out. I keep rewatching that vid. I just can't stop myself. It's so very beautiful and emotional and GAH. I think my favourite montage is the one of old!Amy and River spinning and fighting and then the Doctor at Stonehenge but it's all JUST SO VERY PRETTY. And the music! So perfect! A friend of mine died in a car crash last week. He was a UK filker who grew up watching Doctor Who, and even though his Doctor was "Seven" he really, really loved the new seasons and we had lengthy discussions about how much we loved Eleven, Amy, Rory and River and how they felt like a team rather than "Doctor and Companion", and I keep watching this video thinking my friend would have liked it. (This is very random, I know. )

ooh, that is so very very lovely. there is jst something so calm and soft about this - i think it's the way you focus on the little things (especially in the first part of the vid) & the song. it's so unhurried (stupid word but i can't think of any other right now), it fits so well! i especially love the very beginning of the vid, with all the kids. oh little amy still owns my heart <3 and that short bit where vincent & that woman (what's her name again?) step into the tardis ... absolutely wonderful.

legoline, thank you very much for sharing that with me, and I'm so sorry for your loss. *hugs* Are you talking about keristor? I didn't know him myself but he sounds like a wonderful person and I've been seeing tributes to him crop all over place.
tearful eye, thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoy the parts with the kids, I like that aspect too. And that's Nasreen next to Vincent, she was such a great almost-companion.

Are you talking about keristor? I didn't know him myself but he sounds like a wonderful person and I've been seeing tributes to him crop all over place. Indeed, I am. It makes me happy to see his name pop up even here; he was such a wonderful person. He was supposed to travel to Germany for a concert on Friday. I was going to pick him up--I waited at the hotel for hours but he didn't show up. I learned the next morning he had died the day before. His sister didn't know how to contact me to let me know. Thank you so much for your hugs, they're muchly appreciated *hug*
