Possible new Vidding Convention

Hi everyone,

I'm just posting here to ask a question.

I'm thinking about holding a fanvid convention in the UK, probably Newcastle, where vidders can have a stand and show their work and talk about what inspired them and how they started. My dad is an event organiser so it would be properly organised !

I was wondering how many of you would be interested in that? There would also be a video contest during the convention some time, with a trophy for the Best Video winner and a 2nd prize. ;D

I have been a fanvid maker for nearly 5 years and it's long been my dream to host something like this as an opportunity for vidders to get together and show their work.

Please tell me your thoughts!

Rachel, your idea is great!
(Even though I won't take part in such a convention probably, because I live in Hungary, not in the UK.)

BUT first of all, let me inform you, that a vidding convention in the UK exists already and will be hold in 2014!
