I've never seen the source, but I appreciated the pretty, pretty scenery and your very nice editing! And the song choice is awesome. It really goes well with the video.

Oh, I really liked this! I have no idea what's happening, but I just love the epic yet intimate feel of it. Especial favourite moments: 0:26, with the rising of the second layer of shields 0:54, pan on the vocals, and again at 1:03. You have a real flair for that. 1:04 - 1:09, love all the really intuitive motion here, the way the internal motion reflects the vocal dynamics. Around the 2:00 mark - the warrior dance intercutting worked beautifully for me. On the concrit side, personally I think very regimented cutting-on-beat tends to work better near the climax of the vid, rather than in the introduction. So I really, really loved the way you cut from the 1:50s onward in the build-up to the finish line, but ound some of the earlier cutting on-beat to be a little too uniform at times, especially around the 0:30 mark, which felt just a little bit emotionally restrictive when I would rather take the time to feel out some clips for longer. Anyway, overall, I really really liked it.

Oh, and I REALLY liked how the flames at 1:26 so beautifully and subtly echoed the vocals there, although I wasn't sure if that was intentional... ;D

icepixie: Thank you! ;D obsessive24: Thank you! I'm glad you liked it overall! The raising of the shields bit is one of my faves as well. Yes, I know what you mean. I originally had the cuts on every beat, and then went back to fix that. It turned out to be easier for the rest of the video, but I struggled with the first bit. I did actually push around the clips and deleted a lot of them to solve that, but I guess there was only so much I could do, and the editing is still very much on the beats. It's another lesson learned, I guess, and next time I'll know better from the start
