I think the special effects worked well with the bright colors (pink jerseys!), the basketball-action shots, Naoki's dynamic personality, and the energetic song. I actually think the vid could have used more of the effects throughout. It feels strange going from a really effects-heavy sequence like 0:36-:43 into long stretches of plain clips, or to see a certain effect used only in one place. I think it could have been shorter; 2:20 is where I started glancing down at the track slider. My biggest problem with the vid is that the energy of the song is drained from too many long clips where the camera and characters aren't moving. The strongest parts for me were the basketball sequences because the cuts came faster and there was enough action in them to keep up with the song.
