Hi, I'm Sarah, and I found a link to this thread through the Vidders group on Facebook. I've been vidding for about 4 years, but most of my friends, even the ones who share my fandoms, don't understand my love of vidding. So here I am.
(I've also run several boards on proboards before, so if you guys have any questions and they're not excessively technical, I might be able to help.

I didn't know there was a vidders group on Facebook. Neat! ;D (I have one, of course, but I am such a dunce at using Facebook for anything fandom-y.) I'm not super scared of being "outed" in RL or anything, but I still like to keep RL and fandom separate, so FB is sort of a no-go vidding zone, personally. I dunno... just some sort of deep-ingrained sense of needing to keep the two somewhat separate at least in form. |

I've been lurking a while and admiring other people's handywork, so thought it was time I said hello.
I started 'vidding' in 1999 using two VCRs and a cassette player, although I don't think I'd have the patience these days...
I've made probably a couple of dozen vids over the years, interspersed with periods of inactivity. I have loads of ideas at the moment, just lack the time to sit down and make them. But I like seeing what others have done, and admiring and getting inspiration from the efforts of others, which are usually far superior to mine!
